The Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre (SGACC) is India's oldest and Delhi's largest all-animal shelter.

It was founded in 1980 from a legacy bequeathed by the late Mrs. Ruth Cowell of New South Wales, Australia to Shri Sanjay Gandhi.

In-Patient (IPD)

At any point the In Patient Department houses over 1500 animals.


Out-Patient Department

The Out Patient Department attracts between 150 to 200 cases a day.


Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

The IPD has ICU centres for both large and small animals where seriously


Occupational Therapy (OT)

The Operation Theatre is the hub of SGACC's ongoing Animal Birth Control



Patients are referred for pathological tests by both OPD and IPD doctors.



Dental hygiene for dogs is often overlooked. People just seem to expect.
